1. Who will take over for Frank Vogel?

Just a few years ago, Frank Vogel was standing on the top of the world next to star players, LeBron James and Anthony Davis.

Two years later, things couldn’t be more different. With one of the worst seasons in franchise histor history and struggling to find buy-in from Russell Westbrook, Vogel failed to regain the trust of the management and they declined to renew his contract.

The next step for the Lakers is to find a replacement for Vogel. 76ers assistant coach Sam Cassell could be a potential replacement. Cassell would be a first-time coach, but he has a championship pedigree and could be a good fit for Los Angeles and the rebuilding of this team.

Kenny Atkinson could be another potential candidate for the Lakers. Atkinson is one of the better developmental coaches in the NBA and would be a good fit considering his credentials. The Golden State Warriors assistant is known for turning a then dormant Brooklyn Nets squad into a playoff team, before Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving arrived.
