Mitch White

The 27-year-old righty arm has spent the last two seasons traveling back and forth between the minor and major leagues. He was the Dodgers’ second-round pick in the 2016 June Amateur Draft.  White is an important piece of the Dodgers’ future pitching needs.

So far, he’s pitched five innings in two games. He has one walk, and four strikeouts and has given up three earned runs. He has a below-average 23.6% CSW.

White’s four-seam fastball averages 92.7 mph with an 18.9-inch vertical drop and an 84% active spin. White’s slider averages 83.3 mph with a 39.7-inch vertical drop and a 40% active spin. White’s curveball averages 79.2 mph with a 57.1-inch vertical drop and an 82% active spin.

White is an important piece of the Dodgers’ pitching system. He will benefit from some time in the majors to build up his arm and get stretched out to go further into the season. He will no doubt return to the club if there is an injury or some other need for a pitcher.
