The Georgia football program has some incredible national championship rings.

A story 41 years in the making, you better believe the Georgia football team did it right with its national championship rings.

For the first time since 1980, the Dawgs can say they are champions. Georgia may have fallen in the SEC Championship game to the Alabama Crimson Tide, but avenged its lone loss of the season by beating Nick Saban’s team up in Indianapolis to win the College Football Playoff. Anchored by an all-time great defense, the 2021 Georgia Bulldogs will go down in history as one of the best.

Check out this close-up of what the championship ring looks like carefully crafted by Jostens.

And here are some of the explanations behind the finer details of the championship ring itself.

Georgia football reveals its national championship rings

Overall, it is a pretty classy ring and one that is not overly petty. It is dignified and majestic, as it encapsulates all that is great about Georgia football. The coolest part in the entire ring concept is what is on the inside. It proudly says this is the first national championship team in 41 years boldly, right about the signature of recipient. This shows that this person was part of UGA history.

Now that Georgia has finally done it, many people are wondering if the Dawgs can do it again. While it is so incredibly hard to repeat, Georgia is on a shortlist of teams capable of winning the 2023 College Football Playoff with the likes of Alabama, Clemson and Ohio State. Georgia may not be favored to do so, but they face next to no pressure after having seemingly done the impossible.

Georgia is fresh off a successful G-Day in The Classic City. The Dawgs have an undisputed starter at quarterback in Stetson Bennett IV. While they will have to reload in the defensive front-seven, the back-end of the defense should be strong. Perhaps even more enticing is the way the offense is starting to come together under Todd Monken. Look for him to 13 personnel the SEC to death.

For the first time in multiple generations, this group of Georgia football players are champions.
