Oregon football fans had their hopes for the 2022 season bolstered by the performance of transfer quarterback Bo Nix in the Spring Game.
The transfer portal merry-go-round for quarterbacks this spring landed Auburn’s Bo Nix at Oregon.
After three years with the Tigers, Nix entered the transfer portal looking for a new start. Sometimes that’s all a quarterback needs, though his constant ups-and-downs at Auburn have made it hard to project how he’ll do in Eugene.
His first chance to show Duck fans what he’ll bring to the table came on Saturday during the Spring Game.
Oregon fans react to Bo Nix’s performance in Ducks spring game
Nix wasted literally no time producing a highlight. He hit Seven McGee for a huge catch-and-run play on his first throw.
Spring Games are usually a perfect opportunity to let a hype train run away with itself and Oregon’s was no different with a standout performance for the Ducks.

How about a way too early overreacting opinion? It’s spring after all.

Bo Nix has far more touch on his deep ball than what the Ducks had the last few years.
Bo Nix looking like the Oregon scheme is fitting him juuuuuuust fine

I am going to hate on Bo Nix less now.

Bo Nix has improved so much under this new offense. He’s focused. He’s having fun. I wouldn’t be surprised if he’s a dark horse for the Heisman.

BO NIX IS WINNING US A NATTY AND SEVEN MCGEE IS WINNING THE HEISMAN!
Auburn fans, who have spent the last three years in the middle of the Bo NIx experience, weighed in on the showing.

You’ll live with Bo Nix.
And you’ll die with Bo Nix.
It’s a double edged sword.
But it’s exciting and entertaining as hell.
Bo Nix transferring from Auburn and having a great season would be the most Auburn shit ever

Nix threw for 7,251 yards and 39 touchdowns plus 18 rushing touchdowns during his three years at Auburn. However, he maintained a passer rating of just 126.2.
Oregon has struggled with quarterback play since Justin Herbert left for the NFL. Tyler Shough and Anthony Brown each disappointed in their own ways, failing to put the Ducks over the top.
It’s up to Nix to win the starting job and live up to his perennial “Heisman dark horse” title.
