The Philadelphia Eagles chose to make a splash when they went out and got A.J. Brown in a trade with the Tennessee Titans.

During the 2022 NFL Draft, the Philadelphia Eagles grabbed everyone’s attention when they made the decision to make a trade with the Tennessee Titans for A.J. Brown.

Brown is fresh off of a season during which he managed to catch 63 passes for 869 yards and five touchdowns in 13 regular season games. Now, instead of trying to catch passes in Nashville, the 24-year-old from Starkville, Mississippi will now be added to the Eagles’ offense.

And with this trade, Brown is now getting a solid pay day. He is now getting a significant four-year contract extension that is reportedly worth $100 million, according to a tweet from the NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.

2022 NFL Draft: Philadelphia Eagles make stunning trade to get A.J. Brown from Tennessee Titans

One of the most intriguing wide receivers in the NFL, Brown will now be moving to a team that is apparently interested in making a splash in the NFC East sooner rather than later. The Eagles could have drafted a wide receiver and hoped that things would work out, but they instead chose to go out and get a receiver who is already proven and solid.

This trade is massive and will have some significant impact on the way things unfold in the NFC East this season. The Eagles are in a great spot after making this deal with the Titans possible.

Of course, there’s no guarantee that Brown will absolutely lead to all sorts of new wins for the Eagles, it’s clear that Philadelphia’s offense has a lot more potential now that it has a dominant and dynamic receiver on it.

There are questions about Jalen Hurts’ potential at quarterback, but getting him a very talented receiver proves that the Eagles are willing to trust him as they move forward.

Putting Brown on a roster that already features DeVonta Smith and Dallas Goedert makes this offense significantly more dangerous. There’s no guarantee that the Eagles will win their division this year, but they’re in a much better position now than they were just an hour ago.

The Dallas Cowboys will have some very real competition in the NFC East this year.
