Updated WrestleMania Backlash match card after Apr. 29 SmackDown
By Scott Rogust
There was one huge change to a major match scheduled for WrestleMania Backlash during the Apr. 29 episode of SmackDown.
On the Apr. 29 episode of Friday Night SmackDown, WWE decided to make a major change to what was a huge title match at WrestleMania Backlash on May 8.
The Winner Take All Tag Team Championship Unification match has been changed. The Uso’s and RK-Bro held a contract signing, but it ended up in a brawl. A brawl at a WWE contract signing? We know, shocker. But, Undisputed WWE Universal champion Roman Reigns entered to help out his cousins in taking out Randy Orton and Riddle. Drew McIntyre then evened up the odds and had a stare down with Reigns before throwing hands.
Backstage, Paul Heyman spoke with WWE official Adam Pearce and suggested that the Winner Take All Tag Team Championship Unification match be changed to a six-man tag team match with the additions of Reigns and McIntyre. Sure enough, that was made official. But, it is unknown if all of the titles will be on the line, or if will be a non-title match.
Here is the updated WrestleMania Backlash card after the Apr. 29 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
