Chris Paul congratulates Monty Williams on winning NBA Coach of the Year
By Ethan Lee
After Monty Williams was named NBA Coach of the Year, Chris Paul took to Twitter to celebrate and recognize his head coach’s accomplishment.
Chris Paul is a basketball legend and he definitely knows how difficult it is to win consistently in the NBA. So, it makes sense that he would be able to recognize a great coach and celebrate having one.
Monday, Phoenix Suns head coach Monty Williams was named the NBA Coach of the Year. That’s not all that shocking. The Suns have a great team that features a phenomenal roster and has been able to have all sorts of success.
And of course, they have a pretty great leader with Williams guiding them. Because of what Williams and the Suns have been able to do this year, the head coach of the Suns was honored as the NBA Coach of the Year.
And it seems right that CP3 would celebrate his head coach’s accomplishment.

While some may be interested in trying to discredit Williams a bit because of how talented this roster is, it should be noted that Williams has been crucial in the effort to continue to establish a solid team in Phoenix.
Now in his third season with the Suns, Williams has played a very important part in turning this franchise around and helping this team become one that can contend for championships.
The Suns missed the playoffs in Williams’s first season with Phoenix, back during the 2019-2020 season, but they were able to make it all the way to the NBA Finals during the 2020-2021 season.
Now, this year, the Suns managed to go 64-18 in the regular season and appear to have a team that is theoretically capable of making it to the NBA Finals once more. But first, they’ll need to get past the Dallas Mavericks.
