Watch: Blue Jays’ Yimi Garcia restrained by teammates after getting tossed for throwing at Josh Donaldson

Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Yimi Garcia had to restrained by his teammates after he was ejected from the team’s game against the New York Yankees on Tuesday, May 10.

The Toronto Blue Jays were looking good through the first five innings of their game against the rival New York Yankees on Tuesday, May 10. Then, things got out of control in the sixth, as the Yankees got their first hits of the game and ended up tying the game 3-3 on a three-run homer by Giancarlo Stanton.

But in the very next at-bat, pitcher Yimi Garcia hit Yankees third baseman Josh Donaldson in the arm. Even though it was the second pitch of the at-bat during a tie game, Garcia was thrown out by the umpire.

Garcia had to be physically restrained by his teammates after the decision was made.

Garcia was not the only person ejected at the time of the incident. Pitching coach Pete Walker was ejected from the dugout.

Later in the seventh inning, Blue Jays manager Charlie Montoyo was ejected after arguing with the umpire after Jonathan Loaisiga’s pitch went up and in on Bo Bichette.

So there you have it, there were a total of three Blue Jays ejected in the span of two innings at Yankee Stadium.
