2. Must-win games for the Dallas Cowboys – At Green Bay Packers

Becoming the best team in the NFC involves beating the best teams in the conference. Even though they haven’t reached a Super Bowl under Matt LaFleur, the Packers have become the class of the NFC by stacking up a tremendous 39-10 regular-season record.

That performance has allowed Green Bay to secure home-field advantage throughout the NFC playoffs in each of the past two years. Aaron Rodgers has also played at an MVP level during that span, which makes any opportunity to go to Lambeau Field difficult for the opposition.

Dallas hasn’t been to Green Bay since 2016 and is just 1-8 against the Packers since 2009, which isn’t good enough against one of the conference’s best teams. The Packers will likely be standing in the Cowboys’ way again in 2022, making it imperative for Dallas to find a way to win this game.

This contest will also offer a revenge opportunity for head coach Mike McCarthy, who was fired unceremoniously by the Packers near the end of the 2018 season. McCarthy may have this game as his most important one of the year to show Green Bay that they made a mistake by letting him go.
