Look: Arkansas baseball fan acting totally normally has a raccoon in the stands
By Ethan Lee
Somehow, someway, an Arkansas baseball fan ended up with his hands on a souvenir that isn’t sold in any official university gift shop.
The Arkansas Razorbacks may have a new, unofficial mascot for their baseball program. Friday evening, during their game against the Vanderbilt Commodores, there were some extra, unexpected shenanigans taking place in the stands.
A raccoon apparently decided to scamper around the stands and somehow, someway, an Arkansas fan got a hold of the raccoon and scooped it up by the back of its neck.
There’s a lot going on here.

On a quick aside, can someone check to make sure the dude that fell down is okay?
Arkansas baseball fan scoops up raccoon in the stands while rooting for the Razorbacks
Of course, it doesn’t exactly appear like everyone in the stands is a fan of the new Arkansas baseball mascot, but it looks like a lot of folks love it! This is just incredible stuff.
What a magnificent photo of the moment.
Life in the SEC is never dull and that’s especially true in the conference’s college baseball scene. Of course, there was no way that anyone could have predicted that a raccoon would go scooting around the stands of the Razorbacks’ baseball stadium.
If Arkansas finds a way to beat Vanderbilt in this game, this critter has to become a new, unofficial mascot for Arkansas. At the moment, Arkansas and Vandy are headed to extra innings tied up at 6-6.
That said, even if the Commodores do win, long live the Razorback rally raccoon! College baseball is already a phenomenal sport and moments like this make it even better.
