2. Week 12: vs. Los Angeles Rams (Sunday, Nov. 27)

While the second half of the Chiefs’ schedule is a tad easier than the first, they still have a run of games in late November to early December that will be very difficult. One of those games will be at home vs. the defending Super Bowl champion Los Angeles Rams. Though Kansas City might have the upper hand in this one being that it is at home, Mahomes will have to play a great game.

Matthew Stafford may not have a ton of experience playing at Arrowhead, but cold weather and a passionate home fan base sounds a lot like Lambeau Field in a rough approximation. Knowing that he has arguably the best roster in the NFL backing him up, Stafford can feel free to let it rip against a Chiefs defensive backfield that is nowhere near as strong as it had been not even a season ago.

Oh, this one has the potential to be a shootout alright, which gives the Rams a puncher’s chance to come out of Arrowhead with a strong road W. Though they play in the opposite conference, this will be one of those games where the Chiefs can really see where they stack up among the very best teams the NFC has to offer. This game has the potential to be a Super Bowl 57 matchup.

Mahomes may be at home, but he may not have the better team when the Rams come to town.
