Here is what you need to know about the Kansas City Chiefs preseason games for 2022.

The Kansas City Chiefs have announced their 2022 preseason schedule of games.

Kansas City will be playing three preseason games this summer, as is the case with every club not taking part in the Pro Football Hall of Fame game. Even though the preseason schedule has shrunk to only three games because of the regular season now being extended to 17, Chiefs fans not only get two games at home this summer, but have an opportunity to go to a cool city, too.

Here is who and when the Chiefs will be playing their preseason games.

Kansas City Chiefs: 2022 preseason games, dates, times

Here are the three preseason games, dates and times the Chiefs are playing later this summer.

  1. Kansas City Chiefs at Chicago Bears: Saturday, Aug. 13 (1:00 p.m. ET, 12:00 p.m. CT)
  2. Washington Commanders at Kansas City Chiefs: Saturday, Aug. 20 (4:00 p.m. ET, 3:00 p.m. CT)
  3. Green Bay Packers at Kansas City Chiefs: Thursday, Aug. 25 (8:00 p.m. ET, 7:00 p.m. CT)

The Chiefs’ lone road preseason game will be the first one at the Chicago Bears on Saturday, Aug. 13. Kickoff from Soldier Field will be at 12:00 p.m. CT. The Chiefs will then host the Washington Commanders at Arrowhead. Kickoff will be at 3:00 p.m. ET on Saturday, Aug. 20. The Chiefs’ final preseason game will be at home vs. the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, Aug. 25 at 7:00 p.m. CT.

Overall, not a ton is going to be gleaned from these three preseason games from the Chiefs’ perspective. They may have to replace Tyreek Hill at wide receiver and a few guys in the back-end of their defense, but this is a championship-caliber team if there ever was one. Not to say the 2022 Chiefs are certainly Super Bowl-bound, but they are on the short list to come out of the AFC.
