Twitter reacted to Liverpool pulling off a 1-0 victory over Liverpool to win the UEFA Champions League Final.
Saturday, May 28 was the day — the UEFA Champions League Final between Real Madrid and Liverpool. There was some controversy before the match, as there was a delay after French police at Stade de France locked out Liverpool supporters, and then pepper-sprayed them.
The match would eventually take place and it would be Real Madrid that was victorious, as they defeated Liverpool 1-0. The lone goal of the game arrived at the 59th-minute by Vinicius Junior. Referees called the game at full time, allowing Real Madrid to celebrate their 14th Champions League title.

Una @ChampionsLeague con mucha emoción en la que el @realmadrid ha demostrado que siempre se tiene que creer hasta el final, en cada partido y en cada eliminatoria que han jugado.

Don’t want to be that guy, and certainly not taking anything from an incredible season, but is it (indicative of) a problem that Liverpool didn’t score in three finals?

Liverpool didn't score a single goal in normal time in three finals. They've been brilliant all season but embarrassing of Michael Owen to try to claim they are the best team in Europe. Would be more helpful to analyse where they have (just) fallen short.

Just prior to halftime, it appeared as though Karim Benzema scored a goal to give Real Madrid a much earlier 1-0 lead. However, a VAR review found that Benzema was offsides, thus disallowing the goal.
That turned out to be no big deal in the grand scheme of things, as Vinicius Jr. was able to give his squad a 1-0 lead just after halftime. He is now the second-youngest player in the team’s history to score a goal in the Champions League Final at 21 years, 320 days, per ESPN Stats and Info.

With this latest victory, Real Madrid are now 14-time European Cup champions. In fact, they have won the Champions League Final in their last eight appearances and are 14-3 overall, per ESPN Stats and Info.
This loss stings for Liverpool, as they were looking to add a European Cup alongside their FA Cup and Carabao Cup that were won this year.
