UEFA delayed the start of the Champions League final on Saturday by 30 minutes after ticketless fans tried to enter the Stade de France in Paris. People reacted on Twitter.

UEFA announced that the start of the Champions League final Saturday between Liverpool and Real Madrid was pushed back 30 minutes because of skirmishes outside the Stade de France in suburban Paris.

The game is now slated to start at 3:36 p.m. ET., 9:36 p.m. local time.

UEFA cited cited “security reasons” for the original 15-minute delay, but that didn’t stop soccer fans from reacting on Twitter.

The delay, according to several news outlets, stems from ticketless fans trying to get into the stadium.

Photos posted on Twitter also showed large crowds stuck outside the venue. That forced UEFA to push the game by an additional 15 minutes.

Security concerns have been an issue at soccer games for decades, especially when it involves English fans.

The delay forced the players to take to the field once again for warm ups.

The game is a rematch of the 2018 UCL final won 3-1 by the Spanish giants.
