Travis Kelce’s ex-girlfriend Kayla Nicole shoots down absurd breakup rumor

Kayla Nicole, the former girlfriend of Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce, shut down a ridiculous rumor of why the couple broke up.

Said rumor suggested that Nicole and Kelce broke up in part because he asked her to split everything they bought and/or paid for as a couple down the middle, and she could no longer afford to date him. While it’s unknown exactly how this rumor started, it made some rounds on social media and websites such as Barstool Sports.

We’ll spare you more details, because Nicole herself has since put that talk to bed. On Saturday, she tweeted, “Not sure where y’all got this nonsense from, but it’s absurd and very false,” and linked the Barstool story.

It is not our job as media outlets to try and dig any deeper into the relationships and personal lives of athletes. Of course, there are bound to be a few exceptions, but this was an unsubstantiated rumor perpetuated for no good reason.

I have no idea why the couple chose to break up. Who the hell knows? Kelce himself has enough to worry about right now.

And you know what, it’s none of my damn business. Let’s just take Nicole’s word for it and move on with our Memorial Day weekend.
