The Match 2022 prediction, live stream, start time, TV schedule, odds
The Match 2022 will feature some of the NFL’s best quarterbacks with Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers facing Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen on the golf course.
While the golfing world is buzzing about the first LIV Golf field and Dustin Johnson joining the Saudi-backed league and with the Memorial Tournament set for this week as well with a loaded field, we’re also going to get treated to the latest iteration of The Match presented by Capital One.
Throughout the history of The Match, of which this will be the sixth installment in the exhibition series, we’ve seen Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Charles Barkley, Brooks Koepka vs. Bryson DeChambeau, and several others.
But now we’re getting all NFL players on the course battling out, specifically four of the league’s best quarterbacks duking it out in a new arena.
The Match 2022: Who is playing?
For The Match VI, we’ll have Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady teaming up with Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. This veteran duo will be facing off against the future of the NFL at the position with Chiefs signal-caller Patrick Mahomes joining forces with Bills QB Josh Allen.
Golf handicap for Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen
So how good are these guys at golf? Well, based on the reported handicaps of these players, the seasoned veterans on the gridiron are also more well-seasoned on the golf course as well. Here’s what the handicap looks like for every player.
- Aaron Rodgers – 4.6
- Patrick Mahomes – 7.7
- Tom Brady – 8.1
- Josh Allen – 9.0
While Allen is last in this quartet in terms of handicap and everyone is light-years behind Rodgers, both Mahomes and Allen have much more length off of the tee and could shock some people on Wednesday. At the same time, both Rodgers and Brady have played in a previous iteration of The Match, which could play to their advantage.
Where are they playing The Match 2022?
Taking to the same venue where the much-hyped Brooks vs. Bryson match was played, The Match 2022 will be played at Wynn Golf Club in Las Vegas.
The Match 2022 format: What are the rules?
As has been the case many times before, the format will be modified alternate shot match play. Teams will get 1 point for winning a hole, 0.5 points for tying and 0 points for losing a hole. As for how each hole will play out, all four players will hit a tee shot and each team will choose the best to play from for the second shot. From there, the player who didn’t hit the chosen tee shot will hit and the players will alternate each shot from there.
The match will be decided over 12 holes at Wynn Golf Club.
The Match 2022 odds: Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers favored over Patrick Mahomes, Josh Allen
According to WynnBet, Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers are relatively heavy favorites to win this contest. They are favored at -190 against their counterparts. However, if you think the young guns are going to triumph, there is great value in Patrick Mahomes and Josh Allen with +155 odds to win.

The Match 2022 picks, prediction: Will Tom Brady and Aaron Rodgers win?
Throughout the build-up to The Match, it seems as if Brady and Rodgers have been doing the majority of the trash-talking and peacocking. Given that and their position as the favorites, my gut tells me that Mahomes and Allen are playing sleeper-cell right now and are going to come out and surprise some people.
I don’t expect it to be a runaway in the manner that Brooks Koepka beat Bryson DeChambeau last year but take the Chiefs and Bills quarterbacks as underdogs because I think they pull off the upset on Wednesday in Vegas.
Pick: Patrick Mahomes/Josh Allen (+155)
