Celtics warm-up shirts pack a big message ahead of Game 2.
The Boston Celtics used their warmup shirts ahead of Game 2 to share an important message with the fans.
The team and coaches wore bright orange shirts before playing the Golden State Warriors in the NBA Finals which reads “end gun violence” following multiple recent mass shootings in the United States.
The back of the shirt includes several organizations to support and follow.
Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr went one step further and gave a speech about gun violence and the possible solutions to ending it.
“There are things we can do that would not violate people’s Second Amendment rights, but that would save lives,” Kerr said.
“Awareness and change needs to happen,” said another Celtics coach, Ime Udoka.
