Of all the 2022 NBA playoff teams, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James said he would have chosen to make a run with the Golden State Warriors.

Before the Los Angeles Lakers, it had been a long, long time since LeBron James has missed the playoffs.

In 2019, ESPN tried to put it into perspective with a few fun facts from the 2004-05 season, the second season of James’ illustrious NBA career. Now, LeBron has missed the playoffs a total of four times, but that hasn’t made it any easier for The King to sit on the sidelines in June.

Still, Bron is keeping busy, chopping it up on the latest episode of The Shop. The episode, which features special guests Fat Joe, Amy Schumer and Don Lemon, has LeBron answering a tough question: of the NBA teams that are playing, which would James like to play for?

“It would have to be Golden State,” James answered candidly. “I would love to get into a pissing match with Draymond [Green]. I love when somebody cuss me out.”

LeBron James would love to match up with Draymond Green on the Warriors

The Warriors are now “slight favorites” over the Boston Celtics after a dominant Game 2 victory, according to BetSided’s Reed Wallach.

That comes after Golden State lost their edge in Game 1 with a loss to Boston, and both teams head into Game 3 tied.

Imagining James on a star-studded Warriors team is difficult, especially when James and his Cleveland Cavaliers were the main boss battling the Warriors dynasty just a few years ago. That being said, James is known to seek out the best situation to pursue a championship, and he’s done it successfully on three different franchises.

Could Golden State be Franchise No. 4? That could all depend on where Bronny James lands. If the stars align and Bronny and LeBron head north to San Francisco, Draymond will likely be ready to welcome LeBron with plenty of trash talk.
