Two more of the PGA Tour’s top golfers, Bryson DeChambeau and Patrick Reed, have joined the LIV Golf Tour.
On Wednesday, more news surrounding the LIV Golf Tour surfaced as two more of the PGA Tour’s more notable golfers plan to play in the new Portland event.
Bryson DeChambeau and Patrick Reed have decided to play on the LIV Golf Tour, and it isn’t a surprise that either made that choice.
Reed doesn’t have any fans left, and DeChambeau thinks he is an innovator. We. all know he loves trying new things — club shafts all being the same length, bulking up 30 to 40-pounds, and swinging out of his shoes.
Reports speculate that DeChambeau signed a deal for around $100-million. While neither will be in the LIV inaugural event, it didn’t take them long to announce they would play in the next one. So it’s no surprise that they took the money.
I question if DeChambeau hurt himself at all and if this was him working out a deal with this group.
The PGA Tour still hasn’t fully come out and said what kind of punishment will happen to these golfers leaving, but most are publicly announcing their resignation from the PGA Tour. So it’ll be interesting to see who else joins him, but there won’t be many fans sad that they are gone with these two.
Reed is notorious for having rule violations, and rumors suggest he even turned in other players for nonsense rulings as he thinks he is a villain.
DeChambeau is trying so hard to be cool, but at this point, he feels less genuine and more attention-seeking.
The memes and reactions to seeing two of the least liked PGA Tour guys made my day. Here are my favorites.

Common denominator among players joining LIV Golf, including Phil, DJ, Na, Westwood, Sergio and (reportedly) DeChambeau and Reed?* None is close to being at top of his game.

* besides, you know, the money.

Who knows if DeChambeau will Hulk-ify himself again or not, but there hasn’t been any word on what this Tour will test for as banned substances.
Just wait until Bryson DeChambeau finds out there’s no rule to prevent people calling him “Brooksy” at LIV events.

We all know the trolls will come out, and there is no one to protect him from getting called Brooksy. That tweet alone may be my all-time favorite.
+325 DeChambeau gets in a fight with the group in front bc they are going too slow and he hits into them

While this is hilarious, DeChambeau may be the one who gets fought because of his slow play.

We love when the fans call out players who clearly said one thing and did another. It’s one of our favorite past times.

And probably the winner of all them is this one and how Phil Mickelson convinced the new “bomber” to join the dark side and forget about leaving a good impact on golf.
Some fans may be sad about DeChambeau and Reed leaving the PGA Tour, but most won’t care — that makes this news even funnier because they think people will care, but in reality, it makes the PGA Tour more watchable than with them in the group.
