Some of the PGA Tour’s best golfers have jumped ship which means a Tiger Woods LIV offer is either out there or coming in the bear future.

As the inaugural LIV Golf event happens this week, a lot of speculation has circled whether the PGA Tour’s poster child Tiger Woods would ever consider the alternate tour.

Reports suggest that a Tiger Woods LIV offer of up to $1 billion was on the table but that he declined it.

LIV Golf founder Greg Norman suggested that the figure they offered woods was the high nine-figure number, but no one had an exact number. Regardless, Woods declined the offer, and with him chasing down Jack Nicklaus’ major record, there is no way he would take the money.

He has invested so much in the PGA Tour, and his other sponsorships, endorsements, and business endeavors Woods doesn’t need the money. If anyone would support the PGA Tour, it’s Woods because he has been through it all.

Tiger Woods LIV offer would be a game changer

From scandals to the height of his career, Woods knows the importance and history of professional golf. Woods has done more in his career than most can dream about, so adding the LIV Golf Tour isn’t on his radar.

He is likely more worried about unveiling his new 18-hole putt-putt course in Orlando with PopStroke this week than adding LIV Golf events to his already short schedule.

After his horrific injury, Woods’ time on the course is more precious than ever before, so he will not screw up his reputation by going on the LIV Golf Tour. He wants to finish his career on a high note, and Woods does that by sticking with the PGA Tour.

While we give Norman credit for going after Woods because he is what moves the golf needle, no one should ever think he would take that deal. He has been through enough, and no amount of money would sway him away from the Tour that made him who he is today.

Does anyone know how much a ‘GOAT’ an athlete has to be to decline a billion-dollar offer? Tiger Woods is that guy, and he knows his reputation and current brand is worth far more than any amount Norman and his tour can offer.
