1. Ochai Agbaji

Agbaji isn’t the sexiest prospect who’s going to be on the board at 14, but sometimes the obvious pick is the right move for a franchise that wants to keep moving in the right direction. Landing Agbaji would give the Cavaliers a quality wing with the potential to become a big-time sniper from deep.

Yes, the former Kansas star’s jumper waxed and waned as a collegiate. The hope is that a pro routine can help iron out the inconsistencies in his offensive game. If that works, it’s easy to envision a scenario where Agbaji becomes a high-level catch-and-shoot guy from the corner.

That’s just what Cleveland needs to make Garland/Mobley pick-and-rolls impossible to guard. The franchise hoped Isaac Okoro was going to turn into that player but his development has stagnated. Agbaji has the potential to succeed where Okoro has failed.

It’s also worth noting that Agbaji has the strength to hold up adequately against bigger wings on the defensive end of the floor. His agility won’t blow anyone away but he isn’t going to be hunted on that end. Above-average 3-and-D players make the world go round in the NBA. That’s why landing Agbaji at No. 14 makes so much sense for Cleveland.
