1. Justin Lewis, Forward, Marquette

Big wings from Marquette can have a tendency to get typecast in the Jae Crowder/Jimmy Butler mold but in the case of Lewis, it absolutely fits. Standing 6-foot-7.5 with a 7-foot-2.5 wingspan and a stout 235-pound frame, Lewis has the size and strength to defend small-ball bigs and the tools to be an impediment on the perimeter as well (even if he’ll have to prove he can do it against quicker defenders).

He only shot 34.8 percent from beyond the arc, on 5.2 3-point attempts per game, but took a lot of tough shots in a high-usage offensive role for Marquette. In a more constrained role, he should be much more efficient as an outside shooter (reflected in his 76.1 free-throw percentage) and his nascent slashing and play-making abilities could add even more value. He may never be Jimmy Butler, but he could absolutely be Jae Crowder and that’s an archetype the Lakers could desperately use.
