US Open prize money 2022: How much does the winner make?
It was announced on Wednesday that the USGA has significantly increased the US Open purse for the 2022 championship. This year, the competitors will be playing for their share of an incredible $17.5 million, up $5 million from the prize money last year.
Additionally, with the winner getting 18 percent of the purse according to the bylaws, that means the winner at Brookline will take home a whopping $3.15 million, up nearly $1 million from what Jon Rahm won last year at Torrey Pines ($2.25 million).
US Open tickets: Prices to get in at The Country Club
The prices to get into The Country Club, as you’d expect, vary by day. However, it appears the cheapest available tickets for the tournament are surprisingly on Saturday, where you can get in the door for $499. On the whole, though, it appears that you’re looking at about $500-$600 per day to attend the major championship this year.
US Open golf reddit live stream: How to live stream coverage
As mentioned, fans can stream much of the action on Peacock with a paid subscription to the NBC service. To stream the TV coverage, though, fans can also subscribe to FuboTV, which offers a 7-day free trial for new users and should have the options for fans to watch on all of the necessary networks.
If you are looking for other means, there are options available via Reddit that should have you covered, but be careful as there is inherent risk in doing so.
