LIV Golf’s Bryson DeChambeau could win the 2022 US Open

If there’s one golfer who recently joined LIV Golf who has the chance to contend with the big boys on the PGA Tour, it’s Bryson DeChambeau. The 28-year-old is a big hitter whose analytics approach to the sport is the subject of much controversy. But the results speak for themselves.

DeChambeau already has a US Open Championship to his name after winning the tournament at Winged Foot in 2020. DeChambeau was two strokes back of the leader to start his final round, but an utterly dominant performance on Sunday saw him win the US Open by six strokes over Matthew Wolff.

The question surrounding DeChambeau is whether or not he’s healthy. DeChambeau underwent surgery on his left wrist back in April. DeChambeau missed the cut at The Masters and the Memorial Tournament earlier this year.

Bryson DeChambeau has some hurdles to overcome, but his past performance in the US Open suggests he has what it takes to be in the mix this week at Brookline. DeChambeau has yet to appear in a LIV Golf event after just joining the tour last week.
