The Golden State Warriors won the NBA Championship with an emphatic Game 6 victory. Here’s how Twitter reacted to the dynasty’s triumphant return.
The Golden State Warriors are NBA Champions once more.
The Warriors knew they could clinch the title in Boston on Thursday night, but Game 6 couldn’t have started off worse. Boston took a 14-2 lead in the opening minutes before a furious Golden State run flipped the script.
They had control by the end of the first quarter and held back the Celtics in the second half en route to a 103-90 win.
Stephen Curry sealed his legacy with a Finals MVP award, which was well deserved after putting up 34 points, seven rebounds, seven assists, two steals and one block in the decisive game.
Curry and the Warriors got hefty praise and the meme treatment on Twitter after the game.

Credit to the Warriors. Absolute brass balls on that team. Everytime they needed a shot tonight, they got it. And Steph Curry is a goddamn legend.

We always talk about the Warriors and their threes and up-tempo offense. But they’re about to hold the Celtics under 100 points for a third straight game and in each win in the Finals.

Celtics fans took the loss in a variety of ways.
Congrats to the Warriors and their fans — they came on like a freight train that series, had a 2014 Finals feel. Peaked at the perfect time. I’m gonna record a pod and then walk into traffic.

An amazing season, you bounced back so many times until you couldn't anymore. Congrats to the Warriors.
So. Many. Great. Moments.
Remember that feeling. You'll be back. Thank you Celtics.
Warriors are what I watched the Patriots do for years. Championship balls. Respect. Beat the breaks off us when it mattered. Always had an answer. Celtics will get there.

The only ones celebrating more than Golden State fans were Lakers fans.
Thank you to the Warriors for doing what every Laker fan loves doing: Making sure the Celtics lose

Golden State’s dynasty now has four titles under Steve Kerr, who pulled together the likes of Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green and key contributors like Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole and Gary Payton II to form a championship squad.

Green finished with 12 points, 12 rebounds, eight assists, two steals and two blocks on Thursday night. Wiggins had another strong outing with 18 points, six rebounds, five assists, four steals and three blocks. Thompson chipped in 12 points on a rough shooting night.
On the Celtics side of things, Jaylen Brown tried to carry his team with 34 points while Al Horford dropped 19 with 14 rebounds. It just wasn’t enough to extend the series.
