The Packers were able to solve their middle linebacker position issues this past year when they brought in DeVondre Campbell. He had a career year with Green Bay, recording 146 combined tackles, two sacks and two interceptions, earning him a spot on the All-Pro First Team.

In regards to the other inside linebacker spot, that belonged to Krys Barnes. But that all changed following the NFL Draft.

In the first round, the Packers decided to look at the reigning National Champions in the Georgia Bulldogs and used their first selection on Quay Walker. This past season, Walker posted 65 total tackles, three defended passes and 1.5 sacks in 13 games.

Given that Walker is the team’s first pick of the entire 2022 class, he is primed to be slated into the starting lineup. Pairing him alongside Campbell could do wonders for Green Bay. If Walker impresses throughout training camp, it could be Barnes that is relegated to an off-the-bench role with the team.
