Warriors NBA Championship parade: Time, date, parade route
By John Buhler
The Golden State Warriors have another NBA Championship parade coming up, alright.
After defeating the Boston Celtics in six games, the Golden State Warriors have become NBA Champions yet again for the fourth time in eight seasons.
This latest title was such a tremendous legacy booster for all involved. The big three of Steph Curry, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green all got rings for the pinkie. Head coach Steve Kerr picks up his fourth leading this wagon, as he approaches mentor Phil Jackson territory with his ninth overall. Andrew Wiggins changes his entire legacy by getting his first ring as a professional.
With so many reasons to celebrate in the Bay Area, here is all the important information you will need to know about the Warriors’ upcoming championship parade.
Golden State Warriors NBA Championship parade route, time, date, etc.
The Warriors’ 2022 NBA Championship parade will begin on Monday, June 20. It will be commence at 11:20 a.m. PT and will run through 2:00 p.m. ET. The parade will start at Market and Main in San Francisco and will conclude at Market and 6th. The entire parade route will cover a grand total of 1.04 miles. NBC Sports Bay Area will have it on TV, while 95.7 The Game will have it on the radio.
Though this is the fourth league title of this current Warriors dynasty, it is the first since the franchise moved across the bay from Oakland to San Francisco. Even though the Warriors have long been the Bay Area’s NBA franchise, expect for this parade to be a little more corporate than the ones in the past. Then again, it has been a few years since the Warriors last won a league title.
Ultimately, Dub Nation is going to celebrate this latest league championship as expected. With all three of their most notable star players firmly in their 30s, who knows if the Warriors will ever reach the summit again with this trio of Curry, Green and Thompson? The good news is the Warriors seem to have plenty of talented younger players who could win more titles for them.
Congratulations on winning the whole thing, and may that fourth ring for the pinkie be so petty.
