The GeorgiaĀ football team must answer these offseason questions ahead of its titleĀ defense.
For the first time in well over a generation, Georgia football fans are experiencing life as reigning national champions.
Kirby Smartās Dawgs got it done up in Indianapolis back in early January. Eventually, the levee was going to break and Georgia would scale up college footballās highest summit. Though repeating is going to be so incredibly hard, Smart and his staff do too good of a job for this to be a one-off affair. For now, Georgia must answer these three huge offseason questions in its title defense.
If Georgia can answer these three questions, the Dawgs may have their day in the sun once again.

3. How will the defense adapt to not having Dan Lanning around anymore?
This comes with the territory when a program is firing on all cylinders. Other schools are going to want a part of what made another team special. Former Georgia defensive coordinator Dan Lanning got his opportunity of a lifetime to take over a great Oregon Ducks program up in Eugene. Georgia faces Oregon on Labor Day Weekend in Atlanta, but Lanningās departure will surely be felt.
The good news for the Dawgs is they should have two excellent defensive coordinators stepping up to the plate. Will Muschamp and Glenn Schumann will serve as co-defensive coordinators this fall. Muschamp has been elite in this role before, while Schumann projects as the next Lanning on the Georgia defensive staff. The defense may look different, but will this duo coexist as it should?
Look for Muschamp to take some of the pressure off Schumann in what will be a new role for him.
