John Cena made his return to WWE on the June 27 episode of Monday Night Raw to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his debut.

June 27, 2022 was a date circled on the calendars of WWE fans, as that was when John Cena was making his return for an appearance on Monday Night Raw. The reason for his appearance was to celebrate the 20th anniversary of his WWE debut, where he battled Kurt Angle on a 2002 episode of SmackDown.

Cena approached the ring to speak to the audience, where he thanked the fans. There was no build to a potential future match, but the 16-time world champion said that he is not sure the next time he will make a return to the ring, but said that it would not be for only one more match.
