2. Miami Heat

Now, we return to another team that is atop Durant’s wish list. ESPN senior NBA insider Adrian Wojnarowski reported that along with the Suns, the Miami Heat were also a preferred destination for the Nets star.

Recently, the Heat have been a consistent contender. They made it all the way to the NBA Finals in the Orlando bubble but lost to the Los Angeles Lakers. Then this past season, the Heat were one win away from reaching the Finals again but lost to the Boston Celtics.

Miami has their certified star in Jimmy Butler, and throughout this past Eastern Conference Finals, he had to carry the team. It was quite evident that he needed some help to alleviate the pressure off of himself and to make wins much more attainable for the team.

The team is already expected to lose P.J. Tucker in free agency. Miami would have to give up a ton to get the Nets to agree to trade him into the same conference. But, they should do it anyway.
