Liv Morgan won the Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match at the WWE premium live event on Saturday, July 2.

WWE’s premium live event, Money in the Bank, took place on Saturday, July 2 in Las Vegas, Nev., which is headlined by the titular ladder matches. For the Women’s ladder match, seven competitors battled for the Money in the Bank briefcase hanging high above the ring that gives them a women’s championship match any time, any place over the next year.

Liv Morgan won the Women’s Money in the Bank match after kicking Becky Lynch off of a ladder. That allowed her to climb and unlatch the briefcase, giving her a title opportunity over the next year.

The other competitors in the match included Asuka, Alexa Bliss, Raquel Rodriguez, Lacey Evans, and Shotzi.

There were a variety of crazy moments to take place in this match. Morgan hit Evans with a sunset flip powerbomb off the top of the ladder. Lynch jumped off a ladder to hit Asuka, who was laid across a bridged ladder between the ring apron and the commentary table, with a leg drop.

At the conclusion of the match, Lynch rushed up the large ladder in hopes of reaching the briefcase. Morgan then set up a smaller ladder alongside Lynch. As the two battled, Lynch kicked over Morgan’s ladder. Morgan was able to use the top rope to tip the ladder back upright and in one motion, she kicked Lynch off the ladder.

Morgan is Ms. Money in the Bank, and it may only be a matter of time until she is either the Raw or SmackDown Women’s Champion.

UPDATE: Morgan cashed in her Money in the Bank briefcase against SmackDown Women’s Champion, Ronda Rousey, later that night. Rousey had just defended her title against Natalya. After countering an ankle lock, Morgan rolled up Rousey for the three count to win the SmackDown Women’s Championship.
