Juan Soto rumors: The Astros would have to part with SS/OF Pedro León

Pedro León is the #3 prospect for the Houston Astros and he’s another prospect that is very close to the majors.

León, 24, is hitting .238/.378/.443 in 78 games with 11 home runs, 46 RBI, 21 doubles, and 30 stolen bases. His best tool is his arm (80 on a 20-80 scouting scale) and his running (70). His weakest tool is his hitting (45), which is evident by his batting average.

Defensively this season, he has played 40 games in center field and 22 games in right field. In 2021 between three levels, León played 11 games at second base, 49 games at shortstop, and seven games at third base.

So playing the outfield is a new thing for León but the Nationals could use him as an infielder or outfield. But with the next player, it would probably be better if he was in the outfield.
