Check out the new uniforms the Cleveland Cavaliers will be wearing beginning this NBA season.

With the Cleveland Cavaliers on the precipice of something special on the hardwood, the Northeast Ohio professional basketball franchise now has some awesome new uniforms.

The Cavs unveiled new logos ahead of the 2022-23 NBA season earlier this summer. While it is never easy to make the color combination of gold and wine pop, Cleveland did justice here. The Cavs have three incredibly clean new uniforms for this upcoming season: Association (white), Icon (wine) and Statement (black). All three uniforms do encapsulate all eras of Cavs basketball lore.

Here is what Cleveland will be wearing out there on the court this upcoming basketball season.

When it comes to the logo updates, the two most notable components are the removal of the sword imagery across the board, as well as the reintroduction of the Cavs logo where the V is shaped like a basketball net. It may not feature the black and light blue color scheme most closely associate with 1990s Cavs basketball, but it still looks fantastic with the wine and gold on white.

Overall, it is hard to poke holes in what the Cavs are trying to do with this slight rebrand of sorts. They want to encompass all that was great about all eras of their franchise’s history into one uniform concept. It was not going to be easy, but Cleveland really made it work here. For as crisp as these new jerseys look, the only thing that matters if for the Cavs to make it into the playoffs.

Cleveland was unable to qualify for the postseason a year ago, despite being the No. 8 seed in the Eastern Conference’s Play-In Tournament. The Cavs could not get past the No. 7-seeded Brooklyn Nets or even the No. 9-seeded Atlanta Hawks. Fortunately, this young core seems to be on the rise and plays hard every single night for head coach J.B. Bickerstaff. So keep an eye on this bunch.

With the season a few months out, you have the time to update your Cavs wardrobe if you want.
