Manager Brian Snitker revealed the starting lineups for the NL team at the 2022 MLB All-Star Game, and here is where Willson and William Contreras will be batting.

The MLB All-Star Game takes place on Tuesday, July 19 at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles, Calif. With the game just one day away, the starting lineups for both the American and National League teams were revealed by managers Dusty Baker and Brian Snitker.

For the NL All-Star team, Snitker unveiled that Atlanta Braves outfielder Ronald Acuña Jr. would leadoff for the team, followed by Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts and San Diego Padres third baseman Manny Machado.

One cool thing about Snitker’s lineup is that the Contreras brothers, Willson of the Chicago Cubs and William of the Braves, will be batting back-to-back in the sixth and seventh spots in the lineup.

It will definitely be fun to see William standing in the on-deck circle while Willson is in the batter’s box.

Willson is under contract with the Cubs for this season before he becomes an unrestricted free agent. Whether he gets traded at the Aug. 2 deadline remains to be seen. This season, Willson is slashing . 253/.366/.455 while recording 13 home runs, 35 RBI, and 73 hits in 78 games.

William, meanwhile, is having a career year with Atlanta. Through 46 games, Contreras recorded a .260 batting average, a .877 OPS, 11 home runs, 23 RBI, and 40 hits.

Rounding out the remainder of the lineup is St. Louis Cardinals first baseman Paul Goldschmidt and Dodgers shortstop Trea Turner in the fourth and fifth spots, while San Francisco Giants outfielder Joc Pederson and New York Mets second baseman Jeff McNeil are the No. 8 and 9 hitters.

Dodgers ace Clayton Kershaw was named the NL team’s starting pitcher.
