Albert Pujols gives fiery locker room speech before All-Star Game (Video)
By Mark Powell
St. Louis Cardinals legend Albert Pujols is living up his All-Star moment. In the last season of his career, Pujols has done a little bit of everything this week.
Pujols has been a mainstay this All-Star weekend.
It’s the last year of his career, and he was named to the team under the legends category. Pujols performed in the Home Run Derby and even made it to the second round, defeating the top seed in Philadelphia Phillies slugger Kyle Schwarber.
While some thought Schwarber and MLB may have fixed the Derby for Pujols to stay in the competition, that would be awfully tough to manufacture.
Instead, Pujols embraced every moment. The Cardinals legend was mobbed by younger All-Stars after beating Schwarber on Monday night. He called it one of the top moments of his career, which is saying something given he’s won several World Series in St. Louis.
Cardinals: Albert Pujols gets what he deserves
Pujols is a baseball legend and has always done it the right way. While some in St. Louis swore they’d never forgive him when he left for Los Angeles, sports has a way of fixing old wrongs.
On Tuesday, he gave a fiery speech in the locker room.

Albert took the money and ran. He spent years in LA, and never really looked the same as he did as a Cardinal. Yet, he gets to end his career back where it all began, with Yadi and Waino.
He deserves to be celebrated in a St. Louis uniform, as an All-Star, and as one of the best to ever do it.
