Scouting Report. WR. Anthony Miller. 2. Pick Analysis. Pittsburgh Steelers. player. 55

George Pickens and Calvin Austin III have now made Anthony Miller expendable

The Steelers have a proven track record of drafting and developing great wide receiver talent. Although JuJu Smith-Schuster and James Washington no longer play for the franchise, Chase Claypool and Diontae Johnson still do. Pittsburgh also used two high draft picks on George Pickens out of Georgia and Calvin Austin III out of Memphis. That may mean Anthony Miller could be gone.

Factor in the Steelers signing former Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Miles Boykin and there are not a lot of roster spots available for the former Memphis star. We are looking at either the No. 4 or No. 5 wide receiver position on the Steelers roster, as Claypool, Johnson, Pickens, and probably Austin will be ahead of Miller on the depth chart. He could be looking to join his fourth NFL team.

The best hope for Miller is he rekindles somewhat of a connection with his former Chicago Bears quarterback in Trubisky. They were teammates for three seasons, but neither lived up to their draft status in Chicagoland. Miller may have caught on with the Steelers last season after briefly spending time with the Houston Texans. For now, he is far from a lock to make the 53-man roster.

Miller will have to separate himself in training camp or will be looking for a new team to play for.
