The Oakland A’s could trade outfielder Ramon Laureano before the trade deadline. Here are five teams that should trade for him.

The Oakland A’s don’t have a ton to trade anymore. After all, they traded a ton of players or let them go in free agency this past offseason.

Among them (in order of the date of transaction) were Mark Canha, Yan Gomes, Josh Harrison, Starling Marte, Mitch Moreland, Yusmeiro Petit, Sergio Romo, Andrew Chafin, Jake Diekman, Chris Bassitt, Matt Olson, and Matt Chapman.

When a team gets rid of that many veterans in an offseason, they aren’t expecting to compete that next season. As expected, the A’s are one of the worst teams in the sport, as they have a record of 35-63 entering Monday. But one of a few pieces that they still trade before the trade deadline in outfielder Ramon Laureano.

Laureano, 28, is only his first season of arbitration so an acquiring team would have him for the rest of this season and two more seasons as well. In 2022, he has played in 67 games and he has hit .230/.311/.406 with an OPS+ of 108, 10 home runs, 22 RBI, nine stolen bases, and 13 doubles.

Here are four teams that should make the A’s an offer that they can’t refuse.
