Logan Paul is scheduled to face The Miz at WWE SummerSlam 2022. Some fans may be wondering, can Paul actually wrestle?
Logan Paul is one of the most well-known social media personalities in the world. While he originally made the jump into the boxing world alongside his younger brother, Jake, Logan is now focused on a professional wrestling career.
This Saturday, July 30, Paul is scheduled to compete at WWE SummerSlam, where he will take on The Miz. This will be his second match ever with the company. But, those who missed out on his in-ring debut at WrestleMania 38 may be wondering, can Logan Paul actually wrestle?
Can Logan Paul actually wrestle?
The answer to that is yes, and he is quite adept at it.
Paul competed in three boxing bouts in his career. His first, as an amateur, came against YouTuber KSI, which ended in a majority draw. Their rematch was recognized professionally, which Paul lost via split decision. Then, there was the highly-advertised exhibition fight against Floyd Mayweather, where there was no winner crowned.
Paul began appearing on WWE television back in 2021, where he was involved in the Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn feud. Paul sat at ringside for their match at WrestleMania 37, which Owens won. Afterward, Paul was hit with the Stunner given by Owens.
Earlier this year, The Miz was in a feud with Rey Mysterio and his son, Dominik. After teasing that he would bring in some help, it was revealed that it was none other than Paul. Then, it was confirmed that Paul and The Miz would face off against The Mysterio’s at WrestleMania 38.
In his debut match, Paul was very impressive, where he hit moves such as the Three Amigo’s suplexes and a frog splash. The Miz would pick up the win for the team after he hit Rey Mysterio with the Skull Crushing Finale. During their celebration, The Miz turned on Paul and hit him with a Skull Crushing Finale as well.
Back on June 30, Paul officially signed a WWE contract, and he immediately called out The Miz. Even though The Miz tried to push for the two to team up again, a one-on-one match was booked for SummerSlam.
SummerSlam 2022 begins at 8:00 p.m. ET, live on NBC’s streaming service, Peacock
