Did anyone win the Mega Millions $1.28 billion lottery jackpot?

The Mega Millions drawing took place on Friday night with a massive $1.28 million jackpot at stake. Despite its ginormous number, it’s not the biggest in history, but it’s pretty darn close. According to CNN, the biggest was a $1.586 billion jackpot from Jan. 13, 2016, which winners shared in California, Florida and Tennessee.

The Mega Millions numbers which were drawn on Friday, July 29 are: 67, 45, 57, 36 and 13 with the “Mega Ball” being 14.

Did anyone win the Mega Millions?

At press time, no one has come forward as the winner but there was a winning ticket.

“We have not heard from the winner yet. We don’t know whether … they even know that they won a prize. So I encourage everybody to check your ticket,” Illinois Lottery Director Harold Mays told reporters Saturday morning in Chicago (h/t CNN).

The winning ticket was purchased in Des Plaines, Illinois, just outside of Chicago.
