3) Josh Harrison

Josh Harrison would have been a great fit for a lot of teams due to his versatility. For the White Sox this year, Harrison has played second base, third base, left field, and shortstop. He has also played a handful of games in right field in recent years too.

The 35-year-old former two-time All-Star is hitting .241/.309/.379 with six home runs, 22 RBI, and 14 doubles in 82 games. He has an OPS+ of 95.

While he hasn’t been great at the plate this year, he has been great defensively. He has played second base the most (63 games) and he has 8 Defensive Runs Saved (DRS). At third base (the only other position he has played in more than two games this season), he also has 1 DRS. Harrison has 4 Outs Above Average (OAA) as well.

For his versatility and defense, there are a lot of teams that would have lined up for Harrison, even with being a rental and being slightly below average at the plate. Even if it was on the bench, a 95 OPS+ on the bench is a lot better than most teams have.

The White Sox would have been able to get a fair amount of quality prospects for these three players so, for their sake, hopefully, the team turns things around so they don’t regret not trading them.
