Antonio Conte and Thomas Tuchel fight: Best memes and tweets

The London Derby lived up to its reputation, with the two sides playing to a draw thanks to a late Tottenham equalizer vs Chelsea. But Thomas Tuchel and Antonio Conte weren’t happy.

The two managers had a couple of run-ins during the match. It wouldn’t be a Derby without some unnecessary drama.

When Tottenham evened the score at one goal apiece, the two managers approached one another with some not-so-kind words.

The assistant coaches and reserves got in the way, thus avoiding even more conflict.

While the managers tried their best, the drama could not distract from what was otherwise a fantastic game. Harry Kane equalized late to secure a point for Tottenham against their rival.

When the final whistle was blown, however, Tuchel and Conte came together again, with an all-time awkward handshake.

Tuchel and Conte don’t have any previous feud, from what I can tell. However, something about the goal celebrations rubbed Tuchel the wrong way.

Unfortunately, the Premier League will look upon this with scorned eyes. While it’s great for the game, it also encourages bad sportsmanship. You know what that means:

Expect both Conte and Tuchel to hear from EPL on this, and perhaps be forced to serve some time. If not, then maybe we can finally lean into the chaos, after all.
