Let’s find some winners and losers from the preseason AP Top 25 poll in the latest batch of pristine college football rankings, alright!
No matter who does it, our souls crave college football rankings more than anything in the world!
The Associated Press decided to come together and rank some teams for us, which we so do appreciate. And to be quite honest, the media did a pretty good job of putting together its top 25. Although we are still a few weeks out from games actually being played, we needed some more fire to make things extra spicy at the water cooler, alright. Thank you so much, Associated Press!
Before we get ready to get ready for football season, what teams got the benefit of the doubt from the AP and what teams did they deem L7 weenie losers.

“If you ain’t first, you’re last” – Nick Saban quoting Ricky Bobby probably, alright
As a surprise to absolutely no one, the Alabama Crimson Tide get the top spot in the first AP Poll of the campaign. The national runner-ups and defending SEC champions have the two best players in the game today in quarterback Bryce Young and pass-rusher Will Anderson Jr. Despite being No. 1, Nick Saban will exercise his right to ass-chew over not getting all the first-place votes.

Kyle Whittingham’s Utes come in at a Magnificent Seven to maybe make the CFP
The AP thinks very highly of Kyle Whittingham’s Utah Utes. They not only won the Pac-12, but gave Ohio State a run for its money in a Rose Bowl for the ages. With Cameron “Black Smoke” Rising at quarterback, there is no telling how high these Utes can get. At this time, the AP believes Utah can absolutely make its first trip to the College Football Playoff, even with one loss this fall.

Even after an offseason full of chaos, the AP still kept OU in the top 10 after all
Not since the end of the John Blake era has Oklahoma football been this chaotic. The Sooners got left at the altar for the first time in program history by Lincoln Riley. Whether it is transfer portals or coaches reading horrible words off an iPad, Oklahoma still finds itself as the highest-ranked team in the Big 12 at No. 9, with Baylor (No. 10) and Oklahoma State (No. 12) right behind them.

13 may be an unlucky number, but it is a great one for the North Carolina State Wolfpack. While many college football fans have tabbed Miami as the biggest and best challenger to Clemson in the ACC, everybody should be afraid of these big bad wolves. Although they play in the tougher of the two divisions, NC State will be rewarded if it can get to Charlotte with one loss on the season.
