2022 Fantasy Football Draft: 3 Chiefs sleepers to look for
By KC Proctor
2. Isiah Pacheco
This kid hardly seems like a sleeper anymore, but in case you’ve been under a rock for the past three weeks or so, Isiah Pacheco is going to be a dude in Kansas City.
He was a four-year captain at Rutgers and was taken by the Chiefs with a seventh-round pick in this year’s draft. His 5-foot-11 and 215 pound frame showed up to training camp and won the starting kick returner job. His bruising running style, reliable hands, and blazing speed (4.37 40-yard dash), however, are going to be tough for Andy Reid to keep out of a more prominent role in the offense.
Chiefs rookie RB Isiah Pacheco may not be a sleeper anymore
Hot take incoming: Isiah Pacheco will be the Chiefs RB1 by Week 2.
I already told you that this kid is gaining steam and a ton of recognition, so don’t go babbling to your buddies about a shocker you have in store. Just play it cool, and take him a tick ahead of schedule in the 12th round. He is the consensus RB65 in PPR formats (#242 overall), so keep up with how your draft is playing out and feel confident taking him as the 120th player off the board.

3. Jody Fortson
The Chiefs depth chart currently lays out tight ends in order as follows:
- Travis Kelce
- Blake Bell
- Noah Gray
- Jody Fortson
I would be contradicting myself if I told you to take the Chiefs WR5 and TE4 at the same time, because they would never suit up on the same Sunday. The good news is that I thought of that ahead of time, and believe that Jody Fortson will actually be TE2. The bad news here is that Travis Kelce is still going to dominate the snap share.
The case for Fortson as a legitimate sleeper in your fantasy league is that you can take him with the last pick in 100 percent of drafts — unless you play exclusively with Chiefs Kingdom die-hards.
Going back to the top, if Andy Reid is going to keep the NFL on its toes this year by deploying a traditional offense, we will see a ton of 12, and even some 13 personnel in the red zone. Jody Fortson is an extremely athletic 6-foot-6, 230 pound tight end who is only currently going unnoticed for two reasons: Travis Kelce and an Achilles injury last year.
I know those are massive obstacles to overcome, but you will be hearing about Jody Fortson this year one way or another. You may as well have him stashed on your bench and look like a genius for taking him at the end of the draft.
