The New York Yankees have been facing difficulty lately, and manager Aaron Boone showed his frustration on the matter.
The New York Yankees sit comfortably at the top of the AL East standings, but their performance has certainly been lacking lately. Yankees manager Aaron Boone publicly expressed his frustration on the matter during a press conference.
Boone was shown slamming his hand on the table, stating, “The good thing is it’s right in front of us. It’s right here, and we can fix it.”
The Yankees have yet to win a series this month.
Yankees haven’t won a series in August, but Aaron Boone still has hope
Boone still believes in New York and their ability to win. They’ve had some difficult changes to the roster with two key players, Giancarlo Stanton and DJ LeMahieu, on the injured list. LeMahieu has since been released from the injured list and luckily was on briefly.
However, each absence is a road block that was difficult for the Yankees to overcome. Boone holds hope that the team can come out on top.
Boone told Marly Rivera of ESPN, “We can sit here, and I can keep answering questions and talk about it … but we’ve got to go do it. And the good news is we’ve got all the pieces in that room to do that. I know that’s coming. I know it’s going to happen, but it really sucks going through it.”
According to FanGraphs, New York has a 99.9 percent chance of making it to the playoffs, so luckily their odds of postseason success haven’t been diminished.
