2. Arizona State vs. Colorado: The Pre-Game

For anybody who has ever been to Boulder or The Valley, you know how awesome those places are. Arizona State and Colorado are incredible Pac-12 universities to go to school if you want to have a good time (who doesn’t?). Unfortunately, their differing kinds of party scenes tend to take away from the pretty good football histories these two teams seem to actually have, to be honest.

Okay, it is mostly Frank Kush in Tempe and Bill McCartney in Boulder, but that is neither here nor there. It is all about winning the pre-game, which is what this rivalry has to be called. The Pre-Game is more about the tailgating than the stuff happening on the gridiron, which is cool. With their powers combined, it will rival The Grove and what happens in Duval for the Cocktail Party.

While the student section will be as into the game as the Waldos and any burnouts hanging out at a high school pep rally, all they care about is Jake Plummer and David Bakhtiari handing out the Kush Bowl at the end of the game. It is exactly what you think it is, and then some. For those like Takitari, you can crush brews out of it. For those like Plummer, it can hold your ‘shrooms and stuff.

Though it is not the rivalry people intended it to be, it’s about coming together for a real cool time.
