According to ESPN, two women who claim former heavyweight boxing champion George Foreman “sexually abused” them in the 70s have filed a lawsuit.

The lawsuits, filed separately, were done in the LA County Superior Court under the names Gwen H. and Denise F. the outlet reported.

According to the suits, the women who are now in their 60s say they “first met Foreman as children because their fathers were boxing associates.”

One of the women claims “Foreman groomed her when she was 8 years old and had sex with her when she was 15.”

The other claims “she met Foreman when she was 9, and that he sexually abused and raped her when she was 15 and 16 years old.” She claims she was told her father would lose his job if she did not “comply.”

Foreman denied the claims.

“Over the past six months, two women have been trying to extort millions of dollars each from me and my family,” Foreman’s statement said, according to ESPN. “I don’t pick fights, but I don’t run away from them either.”

The path for these lawsuits was paved after a new California law went into effect extending the statute of limitations.
