Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. Oklahoma Sooners. 8. QB. Dillon Gabriel. player. 815

This Hawaiian organ donor left Mickey Mouse Town for an Oklahoma Land Run

While things went swimmingly for him at UCF under Josh Heupel, it did not go according to plan for Dillon Gabriel during his final season in Orlando. An injury sidelined him for most of the 2021 campaign. But with an opportunity to reunite with his former offensive coordinator Jeff Lebby, Gabriel got out of Dodge/Mickey Mouse Town to take part in the next great Oklahoma Land Run.

Even though Lincoln Riley went TBOW, Brent Venables takes over an OU program that can win the Big 12 right away. A big reason for that is Gabriel has seen everything as a college starting quarterback. He will have never played with talent this great before. Expect for him to make Drake Stoops the greatest slot wide receiver to play in the Big 12 since Wes Welker thrived at Texas Tech.

Oklahoma has a proud history at quarterback and Gabriel could be penning its next great chapter.

QB. Miami Hurricanes. 7. Scouting Report. Pick Analysis. 834. Tyler Van Dyke. player

If Tyler Van Dyke is one-third the QB of Bernie Kosar, Miami will be The U again

One of the most pleasant surprises in the ACC a season ago was the play of Miami quarterback Tyler Van Dyke. With D’Eriq King back for his super duper senior season, Van Dyke was not excepted to play much, if at all, for the Canes. Unfortunately, an injury to King forced Van Dyke into battle. He certainly made the most of this losing situation for the Hurricanes under Manny Diaz.

With Mario Cristobal taking over at his alma mater, there is a chance the Canes could win the Coastal and get to Charlotte right away. Of course, that would require Van Dyke to play up to his potential. It was a short sample size, but people can’t get enough of him. If Miami lives up to lofty expectations, Van Dyke could be one of four-to-six first-round quarterbacks taken next spring.

Look for Van Dyke to be the on-field catalyst to help Miami finally get back to being The U again.
