The Georgia Bulldogs and the Vanderbilt Commodores have more wins in 2022 than the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Georgia football fans are relishing the fact that the Vanderbilt Commodores have more wins in 2022 than do the Alabama Crimson Tide.

Small sample sizes be damned. These are facts people, and I only speak the truth! Well, well, well, the truth hurts don’t it, Bama? Not only is them Dawgs hell, don’t they?! but this has the chance to be the best Vanderbilt team since before James Franklin done abandoned them for Happy Valley. Entering Week 1, Georgia and Vanderbilt are 1-0 in 2022, while Alabama is a game back at 0-1.

Georgia beat Alabama to win the College Football Playoff in January, while Vanderbilt conquered Hawaii to spoil Timmy Chang’s head-coaching debut leading his Rainbow Warriors in Honolulu.

Of course, this could all be a moot point by this time next week. Although Vanderbilt should beat Elon in its home opener, it would be so exceptionally Vanderbilt to lose at home to Elon to fall to 1-1. Conversely, Georgia faces easily the toughest opponent of the three in Week 1. The Dawgs will take on Oregon in Atlanta, while Alabama gets to welcome Utah State into Bryant-Denny Stadium.

Eventually, water will find its level. Alabama and Georgia will almost certainly meet in Atlanta once again in the SEC Championship Game. Vanderbilt is only in year two under Clark Lea, so it is probably going to be a minute before the Commodores truly Anchor Down to achieve most sacred bowl eligibility. In the meantime, let’s keep on enjoying this truly amazing 2022 win/loss quirk.

Dawg fans might be laughing now, but everybody with a brain knows Alabama is an absolute wagon. The Crimson Tide were reloading a year ago and nearly won a national championship. With Heisman Trophy winner Bryce Young back for another year under center, as well as Will Anderson Jr. back as the best player in college football, Alabama should be the favorite to win it all this year.

Of course, Georgia is blessed to have The Mailman at quarterback and he has already won a natty.
