2. QB Aaron Rodgers throws 2 interceptions vs. Vikings in Week 1

It’s been a pretty remarkable stretch for a quarterback that has rolled up his share of impressive numbers. Aaron Rodgers played sparingly his first three years in the league, became the full-time starter in 2008 and has arguably played the position as well as anyone.

It’s astonishing to think that the 17-year pro has played in 213 regular-season contests, thrown 449 touchdown passes and been picked off only 93 times. That’s more than two scores per game and less than one interception per outing.

But Rodgers has really outdone himself the past two season vs. the club’s NFC North rivals. Matt LaFleur’s club is a combined 9-3 in divisional games since 2020. His quarterback has thrown for 38 scores and has not been picked off once. He’s thrown at least four TD passes in half of those games. Mind-blowing.

But all good things might be ready to come to an end. Including playoffs, Rodgers has played in 28 games vs. the Minnesota Vikings – making 27 starts. And he’s thrown an incredible 57 touchdown passes and served up only seven interceptions.

The Purple Gang has a new defensive coordinator in Ed Donatell. They also have a new pass rusher in former Packers’ edge specialist Za’Darius Smith. And Minnesota’s pressure will result in a couple of Rodgers’ miscues on the opening Sunday.
