1. Top Fantasy Football Pickups for Week 1 – Green Bay Packers WR Romeo Doubs

The offseason trade of Davante Adams to the Las Vegas Raiders opened a huge hole in the Packers’ offense. Aaron Rodgers has helped Adams become one of the most productive wide receivers in football over the years and all of Adams’ targets are now up for grabs in Green Bay.

The front office opted to take a piecemeal approach to the problem, signing Sammy Watkins in free agency while drafting Christian Watson and Doubs in April. Watson was the more hyped prospect but Doubs has stolen the show in training camp, with Rodgers himself indicating that Doubs will be held to a higher standard than other young receivers on the roster.

Doubs had a strong preseason, catching 8 passes for 82 yards, including a highlight reel leaping touchdown grab against the New Orleans Saints. The hype around Doubs has continued to grow and he may quickly earn a spot in Rodgers’ circle of trust ahead of the regular season.

The secret is starting to get out on Doubs, who is already rostered in 31 percent of Yahoo leagues, but it isn’t too late to get in on the ground floor with one of Rodgers’ playmakers. Doubs is a bench stash right now with the potential to be a flex option down the line if he takes advantage of his opportunities early in the season.
